Technology Research and Application in Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice rooted in Indian philosophy.  Yoga aims to bring transformation and elevation of human consciousness to reach the highest goals of self-realization.  Yoga science has several dimensions to strengthen the body, breath, mind, and intellect.

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra is the most central and authoritative volume on Yoga containing various dimensions of Ashtanga Yoga (Eightfold practice) systematically.  Yoga Sutra contains the process, methods, benefits, and goals of Yoga.

With the fast pace lifestyle’s adverse impact on the human body and mind, Yoga has been adopted as a comprehensive practice with significant benefits in potentially dealing with chronic diseases, mental issues, and overall well-being.  Yoga has become popular globally as mainstream and alternative/complementary medicine due to its holistic approach.

A vast number of researches have been conducted on Yoga in the last 15-20 years, and an even greater number are being carried out at present. Our effort is to present several important research work in Yoga.
