Yoga-Yujyate and Us.

Yujyate.org is a non-profit organization pursuing the “YUJYATE – Union”  philosophy outlined in ancient scriptures. Yujyate aims to promote the individual and collective pursuits of self-awareness and the development of a healthy body and mind using the vast knowledge of ancient scripture.  Our journey is reflected in Vedanta philosophy’s  four Mahavakyas:

Prajnanam Brahma (प्रज्ञानम् ब्रह्म) – Wisdom (Prajnana) is Brahman

Ayam Atma Brahma (अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म)  –  Self (Atman) is Brahman

Tat Tvam Asi (तत् त्वम् असि)  – Thou art that

Aham Brahma Asmi (अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि)  –  I am Brahman

YUJ – YOGA – YUYATE

Yuj is a Sanskrit word, and the literal meaning of the verbal root Yuj is joining, controlling, or Samādhi. In the scriptural philosophy of yoga, it means joining Jivātmā (individual self-consciousness) with Paramātmā (universal Brahman – Supreme consciousness). “Yujyate” is the process of awakening Jivātmā to the ultimate reality of Paramātmā (Supreme consciousness).

युज्यते अनेन इति योगः॥

Yujyate anena iti yogaḥ॥

Yoga is that which joins.

The word “Yujyate” has been noted in Bhagwad Gita as-

एतां विभूतिं योगं च मम यो वेत्ति तत्त्वत:

सोऽविकम्पेन योगेन युज्यते नात्र संशय: || BG 10.7||

etāṁ vibhūtiṁ yogaṁ cha mama yo vetti tattvataḥ

so’vikampena yogena yujyate nātra sanśhayaḥ

Without doubt, anyone who know in truth my  glories and divine powers become united with me through unwavering bhakti yog.

The word “Sat” means eternal existence, cosmic divinity, and goodness, and it describes an auspicious action. The performance of Sattvic(Pure) deeds, such as sacrifice, penance, thoughts,  actions, rites, and charity, is also described as  “Sat.”
