Yoni Mudra
"The Gesture of the Womb or Source"
Yoni Mudra is a powerful hand gesture that symbolizes the womb or source of creation. It is used in yoga and meditation to draw awareness inward, creating a deep sense of inner calm, stillness, and protection. The mudra mimics the shape of the womb and encourages the practitioner to return to a state of origin, where the mind is undisturbed by the senses or outside world.
This mudra is especially effective for practicing pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) and is known for promoting mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual introspection.
Note: The mudra can be practiced any time you feel mentally scattered, anxious, or overstimulated—ideal before meditation or sleep.
Note: While Yoni Mudra has no direct strenuous physical effect, its impact lies in psychological steadiness, emotional cleansing, and spiritual deepening.
