What The Doula

I am a burnt Circle B loving native of Memphis, Tennessee. When I'm not talking about babies and breasts I'm being a wife, mother of 2, mentor, sister, and prayer partner. I am the owner of two businesses, Reinbows and WhatTheDoula and I've spent the last 8 years in education. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting & Spanish and a Master's of Education in Higher Education Administration and Leadership. I was heartbroken and overwhelmed initially to learn and experience mistreatment and blatant disregard to my desires or concerns navigating my 1st birth. I vented to the one friend I had at the time with a kid that suggested I watch "The Business of Being Born" by Ricki Lake and look into getting a doula. My doula, Jennifer, helped me see my birth experience (literally you recorded it for me) , helped me successfully breastfeed, supported me with herbs and teas during the early postpartum weeks and was just there 24/7 emotionally!
