Uttarakhand Sanskrit University

Based on the recommendation of the Sanskrit Commission 1956-57 proposed by the Government of India, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University was established on April 21, 2005 for the upgrading of Sanskrit education in Uttarakhand. While discharging the leading role in the field of Sanskrit education in the state, this university has been steadily progressing on the path of progress, today it has made its place among various Sanskrit universities in the country. For the last few decades, there is a widespread propagation of Sanskrit language throughout the country.
