Description
Owning a yoga studio was not on Marcy’s career “wish list”. However, it has somehow turned into a dream come true. She has always believed that the only way to “win” this thing called life is to leave it with as few regrets as possible. This idea lead her to pull her family out of the country for 11 months and travel around the world (Denver to L.A. the long way), and it is the same idea that got her into co-owning a hot yoga studio. Yoga is so vital to Marcy’s physical and mental wellbeing that when she found herself a “homeless yogi”, there was no option but to create the yoga home in which she wanted to live.
Marcy discovered this yoga vitality when she stepped into her first hot yoga class in March 2002. The sole motivation of her ever-loving sister (and the idea of losing the last 10 lbs of baby weight from having her third child) drove her there. She had no clue what she was about to uncover. Within the first two months of practice, the weight was gone and the added strength, health and energy were addicting. However, the motivation to practice had completely shifted. The mental and emotional benefits quickly outweighed the physical. The stress relief, clarity of mind, and breath work are what has kept her practicing
