I'm still unsure exactly how or why, but I was suddenly asking myself how people could try to heal the world if they were unhealthy themselves. I have always loved healthy fresh foods and have always wanted to make the world a better place, so why couldn't I combine those passions? I subsequently started studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to equip myself with the tools to teach others about the importance of primary care and eating sustainably and healthfully to better themselves and the planet.
While eating mindfully is an essential aspect of health, it's only a tiny part of the picture. If something is bothering me, no excessive amount of kale or goji berries will make me feel better. That's where yoga comes into the picture. Yoga found me during a particularly stressful time. Through yoga, I was forced to take time to myself, let go of whatever was bothering me, and be present.
