The H-SEAsia network is intended as a forum for discussion and communications regarding the history and study of Southeast Asia. It will serve two constituencies. The first and most important is academics working on topics relating to Southeast Asia and living in the Southeast Asian region. The computer facilities to allow such linkages are now largely in place, but no network exists to draw this group of scholars together. The second constituency is the broader academic community throughout the world with an interest in this region. Many of these scholars already participate in H-Asia or other networks, but would benefit from closer ties with colleagues situated in the region.
H-SEAsia will provide information on research activity, publications, fellowships, academic exchange programs, course materials, conferences and other topics of interest to an academic audience. H-SEAsia’s new network format now offers opportunities for exciting new forms of digital collaboration utilizing built in platforms and multiple forms of media.
H-SEAsia is sponsored by the Centre for Advanced Studies at the National University of Singapore.
