Description
My classes and approach are based in one of the foundational Yogic principles of ahimsa: to do no harm. In order to help protect the bodies of my students and myself, I place a strong focus on proper alignment and a conscious flow of breath while moving or holding poses. My hatha classes typically include meditation, breath awareness and traditional asana (physical postures). These practices are balancing - they simultaneously lengthen and strengthen, energize and calm, and include both action and rest.
