Melisa Uchida Casses, E-RYT-500, has been teaching yoga and healthy living for nearly two decades. Her lineage is from the Ashtanga tradition. She loves the focus and discipline required in Ashtanga. But decades of practice, three children, injuries and just plain old aging, led her to create various sequences to meet different stages in life. Yoga asanas are not one-size fits all. As a teacher, she constantly observes, evaluates and adapts asanas and sequences to determine what is appropriate for her students on any given day.
