Description
Having worked as a designer since 1993, Jodey has always found delight in creative pursuits. After completing a degree in Fashion at Kingston University, UK, She has worked for many high-profile companies, including Levi's, Patagonia, The North Face and the Gap. Travel played a significant part in her work; visiting different countries for inspiration and production were quarterly events. After a time, she took a creative sabbatical of personal travel, visiting the rich sacred landscapes of South America and engaging with local medicine workers, healers and artisans.
In 2006 a friend introduced her to Ayurveda.
A few years later, Jodey visited Kerala, India, for a work trip and fell in love with the culture; that trip had a profound effect and was the start of a soul-searching journey towards Ayurveda and alternative medicine.
The experience led her on a 10-month part-time certification, in 2011, as an Ayurvedic Health Counsellor at Mount Madonna Institute of Ayurveda in California.
