Description
“The first time I went to see His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama speak, I was waiting outside to go through security along with thousands of people waiting patiently in line. Out of nowhere, a woman walked up to me and without speaking extended her hand towards me. Her hand was closed as if holding something. So, naturally curious, I extended my open hand below hers. She placed a tiny statue into my hand, smiled and walked away. Never saying a word. It was a tiny Green Tara. When I decided to teach yoga professionally, I choose “Green Tara Yoga” as my business name and still to this day have that tiny Green Tara on my home altar. I choose Green Tara Yoga for the studio name as well because I think we should all strive to act compassionately in the world and always be ready to come to the aid of those in need.” Mary Veal, Owner
