I came to yoga because I wanted to find a way to live my life with more strength, ease, and grace.
As a former professional dancer I suffered from fatigue, injuries and pain. I dealt with self-doubt and periods of depression and often wondered, what the purpose of this life was and how I fitted in.
In search of a way to feel better, in 1997 I attended my very first yoga class. When I came to a sitting position after the closing relaxation I experienced something I had never felt before: deep peace and contentment. Self-doubt, anxiety and my constant sense of inadequacy faded into the distance. For a few precious moments, it felt just fine to be me.
