Steps and Description
- Stand straight and keep your hands in namaskar mudra.
- Take some deep breaths and relax, keep your eyes closed and bring focus inwards.
- Then inhale slowly, bending backward and making your arm straight bending towards the back.
- Bend slowly and according to your capacity.
- Hold that position and focus on your breathings and spine, then come back to the primary position and relax.
Practice Keynotes
- Abdomen should not be pushed forward.
- Hands and back should stretched.
- Legs should not be bent.
Cautions and Limitations
- Don't practice if you are suffering from any back injury.
- Don't push yourself backwards beyond your capacity.
- Avoid facial contortions and excessive shaking of the body.
- Proceed carefully and only under expert guidance.
- At the slightest sign of discomfort, reduce the duration of practice and, if necessary, discontinue the practice for the day.
- Practice should never be rushed.
Contraindications
- Avoid this practice if you are suffering from any back pain.
- Don't do it if you are suffering through any leg injury.
