Description
I initially came to yoga for relief from sports injuries and back pain. I had learned to meditate years earlier but was initially not consistent. I was also more drawn to quick action sports like running, tennis and aerobics and found my first yoga class a real challenge. I stuck with it and quickly discovered the transformative healing powers that yoga had to offer. I began my journey of further learning and sharing the gifts of the practice. I traveled the country and trained with some of the top yoga masters in the world in the Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara and Vinyasa traditions as well as meditation and philosophy scholars, accumulating over 2000 hours of trainings. I was certified in Vinyasa and Anusara Yoga and became an E-RYT 500 Certified Yoga Instructor. I have been teaching for over 17 years and still continue to be a student of anatomy and physiology, therapeutics, philosophy, meditation and Ayurveda. I am currently deepening my studies in Functional Medicine Health Coaching to round out my wellness offerings. I fully believe that healing comes from within, incorporating all of the limbs of yoga and holistic health.
