Description
Mary provides instruction in the Iyengar method of classic yoga asana or postures. B.K.S. Iyengar has designed a progressive method of teaching designed to provide a safe and an ever-deepening practice which opens and strengthens the body while drawing the mind into a meditative state. Props are used to make the postures accessible and to bring more awareness to the body. Students are taught the postures in a well-thought-out sequence, both within a class and across the course, to protect the body and engross the mind. You will learn about yourself and gain an increased awareness of your body, mind and spirit.
