I started practicing yoga in group classes about 18 years ago when I was pregnant with our daughter. I was instantly “hooked” by how spacious and relaxed it made me feel.
A couple of years passed and on my 40th birthday I experienced my first panic attack on a family vacation. It was a terrifying and life changing event that lasted for a couple days. This was my first sign post and messenger of perimenopause. Learning more about this transition, I learned about which herbs could help me with various symptoms. I always had a bottle of some homemade tincture with me to help with anxiety. I also tried a variety of different modalities to help myself through the various discomforts that can arise during this transition.
