Description
My fascination with yoga began in 2001 upon completing a solo bicycle journey from my native Ireland to India. On arriving in India for reasons I couldn’t fully fathom, I found myself deeply drawn to people following the Yogic traditions. It appeared to me that they, through gentler means, had come to a similar understanding of the world as I had after seven arduous months of pedaling in solitude. I returned two years later to explore that curiosity and have returned nearly every year since to deepen my understanding and practice.
After exploring various styles and traditions, I found Ashtanga to be what I was most inspired to practice and teach, initially due to its obvious benefits for adventure sport activities (such as rock climbing and surfing) and subsequently due to understanding it as a path to meditation. I now understand Yoga as a practice which trains us to bring full awareness into everything we do
