Liberation Institute

Recidivism rates in Maine are a staggering 78%. The Liberation Institute seeks to address this problem by offering inmates a yoga teacher training, recovery workshop, and educational curriculum at the Maine State Prison. We graduated Our first cohort on October 24, 2017. Again and again, the Warden and prison staff have commented on the positive impact yoga has made on our students’ stress level, outlook, and interpersonal skills.
